Purchasing/Buying

  • Q: Does Reid have a minimum order amount?
  • A: Not for U.S. and Canadian orders. The amount is $25 everywhere else.
  • Q: What is Reid's return policy?
  • A: No restocking fee within 30 days. 10% after 30 days.
  • Q: Does Reid accept credit cards?
  • A: Yes. Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover.
  • Q: Can Reid ship same-day?
  • A: Yes we do, if the order is processed by 5:00pm EDT (GMT-4:00)
  • Q: Does Reid offer blanket orders?
  • A: Yes, for a year term and the releases must be four or less in most cases.
  • Q: Does Reid drop ship? If so, is there a fee?
  • A: Yes, we do drop ship and there is no fee for this service other than normal shipping and handling charges.
  • Q: Does Reid ship C.O.D.?
  • A: Yes, but only within the United States. We cannot ship C.O.D. to Canada.
  • Q: Does Reid ship n30 day terms to international customers?
  • A: All shipments outside of the United States must be paid in advance in U.S. funds prior to shipment. Large companies must have a written guarantee of payment from a U.S.-based division or parent.
  • Q: Does Reid charge a fee for credit card payments?
  • A: No fee is charged to the customer for using a credit card as payment.
  • Q: Does Reid offer free shipping for large orders?
  • A: We do not offer free shipping at this time.

Account Information

  • Q: How/where can I change my shipping options?
  • A: Log into your account and click on the "My Account" link.
  • Q: How/where can I change my ship to address?
  • A: Log into your account and click on the "My Account" link.
  • Q: Where do I enter the "Reference Name" when saving my cart?
  • A: Enter the Reference Name in the box just above the item descriptions in your Shopping Cart and click the "Save Cart" button.
  • Q: How do I get a tracking number for a past shipment?
  • A: Your tracking number is available only if shipped from ReidSupply.com by UPS and it will be listed on the e-mail confirmation you received when your order was invoiced.

Web Site/Technical/Error Messages

  • Q: What do I do when I receive the following error message: "Email address is already in use, please call customer svc"?
  • A: The e-mail address you entered is already assigned to an existing account. You may already have an account and just need to login to the existing account. To set up a new account, please choose an alternate e-mail address or call our Customer Service department at 800-253-0421 to retrieve your password.

Vendors/Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Q: Why do some of my invoice numbers end in a 01, 02, etc.?
  • A: This represents invoicing for a subsequent shipment against an order (i.e backorder, scheduled release, etc.).
  • Q: Can I pay my invoices via ACH rather than by check?
  • A: Yes. Contact the Accounts Receivable department (800-253-0421 or 231-777-3951) to obtain application information.
  • Q: Can vendors submit invoices to Reid electronically?
  • A: Yes. Vendor invoices can be submitted by fax (1-231-767-3891) or e-mailed to ap@reidentities.com . NOTE: Please do not submit a duplicate copy by mail if submitting electronically.
  • Q: Can Reid pay vendors via ACH rather than by check?
  • A: Yes. Contact our Accounts Payable department (800-253-0421 or 231-777-3951) to provide the applicable information and authorization.
  • Q: Can I print a copy of the invoice from the web site?
  • A: Yes. Login to your account, click on “Order History” in the right column, click and view the order you wish to print, click on “Print Version” button, print.

Other

  • Q: Why doesn't Reid offer blanket NAFTA certificates?
  • A: We do not manufacture the goods we sell, so we can’t guarantee the country of origin for a blanket period.
  • Q: Does Reid offer Resale or OEM discounts?
  • A: Not at this time
  • Q: Does Reid offer product samples?
  • A: Yes, on a case by case scenario and within reason. Please contact Customer Service at 800-253-0421 or 231-777-3951.
  • Q: Is Reid a manufacturer or distributor?
  • A: We are a distributor.
  • Q: How long is the pricing in Reid catalogs good for?
  • A: Pricing is subject to change at any time. However, we do our best to hold it from one catalog to the next.
  • Q: Can Reid get items that aren't in its catalog?
  • A: In many cases we can source product not shown. Call Customer Service at 800-253-0421 or 231-777-3951.
  • Q: Can Reid cross-reference other supplier's part numbers?
  • A: Yes, in most cases.
  • Q: How do I tell what type of thread I have?
  • A: Diameter multiplied by the number of threads per inch; metric diameter multiplied by the distance between each thread.
  • Q: Does Reid have a Cage Code?
  • A: Yes. It is 01599.
