Detent (spring loaded) pins have springs inside the shaft of the pin that are used the push out two extruding ball bearings. These ball bearings, when extruding lock into a hole in the pin they are being used with. These pins simply require a pull to release them, but lock firmly in place when inserted in to the locked position.

Double action pins are very simple to use. To insert the pins and get it to firmly lock into place just push in on the handle. To remove the pins, simply pull on the handle. The pins come in a variety of handle types including T-handles, L-handles, and ring handles.

Threaded end pins work the same way as other pins do. They lock into place when inserted and release when pulled. The difference in threaded end pins is the threaded portion at the top of the pin which allows you to attach any type of specialized handle that you like.
