What Types of Clamps Are Produced by Mitee Bite

Mitee-Bite Products makes many different workholding solutions, including Mitee-Bite fixture clamps, concentric clamps, T-Slots, vacuum systems, vise jaws, and stops. In this section, we’ll look over their workholding clamp solutions:

Wedge Clamps

Wedge Clamps are great at holding several workpieces simultaneously, and they’re ideal for clamping round or rectangular pieces. Mitee-Bite Products’ Uniforce Clamps are both compact and economical, allowing you to fixture several workpieces to the machining table. The specially designed steel wedge spreads the clamping elements, exerting uniform force on both sides of the aluminum channel. These increase production and minimize tool change, and they’re ideal for pallet changers.

ID Expansion Clamps

Mitee-Bite Products’ ID Xpansion Clamps are fantastic for palletized setups; they’re ideal for holding elements on an inside diameter for high-density machining on both vertical or horizontal machining centers. Besides being used as an expanding mandrel on a lathe, ID Xpansion Clamps are made of mild steel, which makes them machinable fixture clamps that match the bore of the workpiece, thus ensuring a proper fit. And they’re quickly tightened either by a hex key or a torque driver.

Edge & Toe Clamps

This type of fixture exerts a positive downward holding force while retaining compactness, allowing workpieces to be clamped in series by using the back side of the toe clamp to exert force on the sequential workpiece. T-slot toe clamps are a variation of toe clamps, as they’re designed to work with t-slots of machine tables.

Hex Cam Edge Clamps

The Hex Cam Action fixture clamps are made of a hardened steel socket cap screw and an offset head with a hexagonal brass washer. They can lock at any position, which makes them great for holding workpieces of varying dimensions.

Pitbull Clamps

Mitee-Bite Products’ Pitbull Clamps are among the lowest-profile clamps capable of delivering unprecedented holding force, allowing for aggressive stock removal. They have an extremely low bite, positive downforce, and Tungsten Carbide coating for stainless steel grippers. They also come in a brass variety.

Knife Edge Clamps

Knife edge clamps are very similar to hex cam action clamps, but instead of exerting force on the workpiece, these inserts use circular washers with serrations that are meant to “bite” into roughly cut stock, castings, or any other material with a rougher surface.
