Power transmission is the transfer of energy from its place of generation to another location where it is applied to perform work using simple machines and linkages. Roller bearings can offer higher load capacities than ball bearings by virtue of their line contact versus point contact (used in ball bearings). These bearings can be utilized for general use and within engine connecting rods.
