Machine Tool Accessories

 (7 product groups)

We carry a range of machine tool accessories for metalworking tasks. Drill bushings guide and support the cutting tool to minimize bending and improve hole accuracy. You can choose from press-fit, slip-fixed, or castable drill bushings. Collets and chuck jaws are used to firmly hold circular workpieces or tools. We also carry chuck keys, leashes, and wrenches. Lathe centers help position and support long workpieces on a lathe to prevent the loss of accuracy caused by deflection or bending. We supply both live and dead lathe centers. Our hex-hole, square-hole, and square-slotted machine tool sleeves can be used to connect rods for making boring bars, milling cutters, and tool holders.

Drill Bushings

Drill bushings or drill guides are installed into a drilling jig to guide, support, and position a drill or other cutting tool during metalworking tasks.
Also known as drill guide bushings, or drill jig bushings these machine tools and their accessories work well with your end mills, and digital micrometers.

Reid Supply is a full line distributor from the top manufactures, the most common types of Drill Bushings are fixed or press-fit bushings, head press fit, threaded drill bushings, united and metric drill bushings.

Machine Tool Sleeves

Our hex-hole, square-hole, and square-slotted machine tool sleeves can be used to connect rods for making boring bars, milling cutters, and tool holders.

Collets

Collets are sleeve bushings that fit into collet chucks or machine spindles and hold small diameter tool workpieces. Firmly grips the tools and workpieces to keep them from wobbling or loosening during machining. Collets are used on cnc, milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machine tools.

V-Flange Collet Chucks & Adapters

V-flange collet chucks are used to hold a workpiece or tool by forming a collar around the object to hold it securely in place. Clamping force is applied through a tapered design that uses a sleeve and inner cylindrical surface. Allows self-centering, resistance against loosening, fast-chucking, and steady clamping pressure.

Lathe Centers

Lathe centers help position and support long workpieces on a lathe to prevent the loss of accuracy caused by deflection or bending. We supply both live and dead lathe centers.

Chuck Jaws

Chuck Jaws have jaws, (sometimes called dogs) that are arranged in a radially symmetrical pattern like the points of a star. The jaws are tightenedto hold the tool or workpiece. Often the jaws will be tightened or loosened with the help of a chuck key, which is a wrench-like tool made for the purpose.

Chuck Accessories

We offer chuck jaw and nut kits, as well as chuck keys, leashes, and wrenches.
