This captive panel screw is used to attach panels or boards in a semi-rigid manner. Since it's a screw, the applicable surface could be removed for installation, removale or inspection. It has a fillister head and is made from non-magnetic type 303 stainless steel (ASTM-A-581, A-582). It can be held captive by using a stainless steel split washer.
