Indexable Drilling

Indexable cutting tools are a cost-effective and time-saving alternative to their solid tool counterparts. Since the cutting tip is a small insert, a lesser portion of cutting material is needed rather than making a solid tool of the same material. This allows the shank or tool holder to be made of a less expensive but tougher material. Plus, the removable inserts can be easily exchanged during production without affecting the overall geometry of the tool, thereby eliminating additional set-up changes. For drilling applications, we offer both indexable drills and indexable drill inserts.

Indexable Grooving and Parting

Indexable cutting tools are a cost-effective and time-saving alternative to their solid tool counterparts. Since the cutting tip is a small insert, a lesser portion of cutting material is needed rather than making a solid tool of the same material. This allows the shank or tool holder to be made of a less expensive but tougher material. Plus, the removable inserts can be easily exchanged during production without affecting the overall geometry of the tool, thereby eliminating additional set-up changes. For grooving and parting applications, we offer grooving holders, grooving blades, integral shank toolholders, and parting inserts.

Indexable Milling

Indexable cutting tools are a cost-effective and time-saving alternative to their solid tool counterparts. Since the cutting tip is a small insert, a lesser portion of cutting material is needed rather than making a solid tool of the same material. This allows the shank or tool holder to be made of a less expensive but tougher material. Plus, the removable inserts can be easily exchanged during production without affecting the overall geometry of the tool, thereby eliminating additional set-up changes. For milling applications, we offer indexable end mills and milling inserts.

Indexable Threading

Indexable cutting tools are a cost-effective and time-saving alternative to their solid tool counterparts. Since the cutting tip is a small insert, a lesser portion of cutting material is needed rather than making a solid tool of the same material. This allows the shank or tool holder to be made of a less expensive but tougher material. Plus, the removable inserts can be easily exchanged during production without affecting the overall geometry of the tool, thereby eliminating additional set-up changes. For threading applications, we offer threading toolholders and threading inserts.

Indexable Turning

Indexable cutting tools are a cost-effective and time-saving alternative to their solid tool counterparts. Since the cutting tip is a small insert, a lesser portion of cutting material is needed rather than making a solid tool of the same material. This allows the shank or tool holder to be made of a less expensive but tougher material. Plus, the removable inserts can be easily exchanged during production without affecting the overall geometry of the tool, thereby eliminating additional set-up changes. For turning applications, turning toolholders and turning inserts.

Roughing End Mills

Roughing end mills, or hog mills, are designed for quickly removing large amounts of material in the initial stages of machining. They feature aggressive tooth geometry (coarse pitch, deep gullets, fewer flutes, often wavy edges) and a strong core for high material removal rates. While efficient for rough shaping, they produce a poor surface finish and lower accuracy, requiring subsequent finishing with other end mills.
