Reid Supply’s industrial, explosion-proof latches allow users to customize both the release rate of gases and heat in the case of combustion within a pressurized or otherwise hazardous chamber. They are essential to applications around humans where combustible forces could cause harm or damage sensitive equipment.
Iron latches, unlike standard manufacturing steel, are hardened to withstand immense forces that ordinary plate steel cannot retain. They can be used to dissipate otherwise harmful electrical shocks in addition to being adjustable for the release force and strike force.
These pressure release latches provide venting in the event of internal explosion and maintain a seal in order to prevent loss of heat and/or escape of gasses under normal conditions. Latches have an adjustable strike and the release force is adjustable.
