Mitutoyo Micrometers

 (2 product groups)

Mitutoyo micrometers are the industry standard in measuring and recording the smallest and most important dimensions; interior, exterior, or otherwise. Thickness means weight, weight means expense, and expense means lower revenue.

Reid Supply’s Mitutoyo micrometers allow your business to fine-tune products prior to production. These leading instruments provide clear, consistent, and accurate measurements to engineers across departments.

Uses for Mitutoyo Micrometers

The C-clamp appearance resembles brute-force machinery but Mitutoyo micrometers are anything but blunt. Our micrometers are accurate to the 1/1000 of a millimeter or further. The screw-driven clamp drive makes it easy to use for the designated range from 1-2-inch to 3-4-inch calipers. Machinists appreciate the ability to measure thickness, diameter, and other dimensions to an exceedingly precise degree both during and before the mass manufacturing process.

As always, our customer service representatives are always available to answer questions regarding use, maintenance, and troubleshooting for these precision instruments.

Outside micrometers are used for measuring the thickness or outside diameter of small parts or fittings with high accuracy. Similar in appearance to a C-clamp, the object to be measured is clamped between the anvil (the stationary end of the clamp) and the spindle (the moving part of the clamp). The clamp opens and closes by turning an internal screw. On analog micrometers, measurement is calculated by reading the lines and numbering system that appears on the thimble and sleeve.
